The Lebanese film "Capharnaüm" by Nadine Labaki, Oscar nominated for best foreign film, after having won many successes. She has won numerous awards internationally and locally.

The film "Capharnaüm" won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival .It has already exceeded 130 000 spectators and won the Audience Award at the Sarajevo International Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina, The jury of the International Film Festival of Norway , the Audience Award at the Calgary Film Festival in Canada, the Best Actor Award for Zine Al-Rafi and the Young Jury Award for Best Film at the Antalya Film Festival.

 

 

Synopsis

Inside a court, Zain, (played by Zain Al Rafeea), a 12-year-old Lebanese boy, is brought before the judge. To the question: "Why are you attacking your parents in court?", Zain answers: "For giving me life!" The film retraces the incredible journey of this child in search of his identity and who rebels against the life that was imposed on him.
